The conference office will be located in the central lecture hall building:

  • ETH Hönggerberg
  • HCI
  • Wolfgang-Pauli-Strasse 10
  • 8093 Zürich

The opening hours are the following:

Monday 30.08.2010 07.30 - 18.00
Tuesday 31.08.2010 08.00 h - 17.00 h
Wednesday 01.09.2010 08.00 h - 12.00 h

   
  You will receive the conference ticket (receipt for conference fee), the program and your name tag at the conference desk. The name tag must be worn visibly during the entire conference.
The organizers, staff of the conference desk and the student assistants will be identifiable by colored name tags. Please contact them if you have any questions.
   
       
Oral Presentation
     
 

Scientific presentations will be either oral or by poster. Presentations will primarily be given in English.

Oral presentation
Oral sessions include plenary talks, invited talks, topical talks. It is highly recommended to use electronic presentation (i.e. Power Point or similar) for all talks. For this purpose, a projector is installed in every lecture room, as well as a VGA switch for laptops. It is furthermore advisable to have the files on a USB memory stick. No overhead projectors will be available in the lecture rooms!

Checklist for oral presentations:

   
 
  • laptop
  • report as electronic file (memory stick)
   
  Presenting authors are asked to come to the respective lecture room before the session, to ensure that there is enough time for installing the laptop. All rooms are open 1 hour before the start of the session. Please check with the room attendant, whether everything is working properly.    
 
  • Plenary talks are allocated 45 minutes (10 minutes discussion).
  • Invited talks are allocated 25 minutes (5 minutes discussion)
  • Contributed talks will be 12 minutes long followed by a 3-minutes discussion.
   
Poster Presentation
     
 

Authors are requested to hang up their posters on Monday morning. Poster presentations will be on Monday and Tuesday afternoon, but posters should be present both days.

   
  Each poster should be no larger than 85cm x 120cm. (A0 placed vertically).    
  Authors are requested to be available for at least half of the length of their poster session by their poster. Please make sure your poster states when you will be available. PosterWall  
Poster Awards
     
  The best poster contributions in the different categories will be awarded. The posters will be evaluated by experts in the field, who will judge the scientific quality, the creativity and the expected scientific impact of the contribution.
